The ultimate golf vacation is staying and playing at a golf resort. Below is an interview with Joslyn Lindsey who shares some valuable information about staying and golfing at Running Y Ranch Resort.

Give our readers an overview of the golf resort. With the Cascade Mountain Range as your backdrop, your stay at Running Y Ranch Resort is designed to be utterly unforgettable. The resort offers a collection of upscale accommodations, including lodge rooms, chalets and custom homes, a full-service spa, the only Arnold Palmer-designed golf course in Oregon, and more than 7,000 square feet of event space, among other noteworthy amenities. Guests enjoy easy access to a world of outdoor adventures, including hiking and biking, kayaking, fly fishing and bird watching during their stay at Running Y Ranch Resort, which is long considered one of the best places to stay in Oregon.

Share with us your room accommodations configurations. What group sizes can accommodate? With an 82-room Lodge, numerous vacation rentals and over 7,000 square feet of meeting space, Running Y Ranch Resort is the perfect location for groups of all sizes. Whether you are planning a small, intimate gathering or a large event, we have a meeting space that can accommodate you. Our indoor meeting spaces can accommodate up to 450 guests. Outdoors, we have a beautiful Pavilion that overlooks our Arnold Palmer-designed golf course and can accommodate up to 200 people.

What type of restaurants do you have on property and what type of dining experience can one expect? Located in the Lodge, Ruddy Duck Restaurant provides a hearty, New American cuisine with an innovative twist in a casual setting. With large windows and a beautiful outdoor patio, guests can enjoy the amazing views of the property while they dine. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, have a full-service bar, and even offer a kid-friendly menu so every member of the family can enjoy their meal. The restaurant's name pays homage to one of our favorite aquatic birds commonly found at the resort and Upper Klamath Lake. You may even see these creatures flying past the restaurant's floor-to-ceiling windows.

Beyond golf what are the top three amenities golfers and non-golfers can enjoy on property? Our resort features the beautiful, newly remodeled Sandhill Spa, which is a popular attraction for many guests. Offering massage, facials, body wraps, manicures, pedicures and more, Sandhill Spa is the perfect place to relax and renew after a day of outdoor adventures.

As an all-season resort, we are proud to offer seasonal activities for all guests to enjoy. In the summer, you can see amazing views of Klamath Lake with a guided horseback riding tour. In the winter, guests can enjoy an evening of ice skating and family fun at the Bill Collier Community Ice Rink that is located on property.

In addition, Running Y Ranch Resort also has a newly remodeled Sports & Fitness Center featuring an indoor pool, hot tub and dry sauna, a large fitness room with cardio and weight machines, arcade games, multiple outdoor sports courts, bike rentals and a playground. Guests can enjoy their usual morning workout, have fun in the pool, or relax in the hot tub or sauna all while staying on resort property.
