Description
Built on beautiful land in the prized British tradition of heathland golf, near the ocean on old sand dunes with good drainage and moderate temperatures, Bandon Crossings is a truly satisfying experience. This Dan Hixson design was named by GOLF Magazine as one of the Top 10 new courses of 2007. Whether walking in the old tradition or riding in the comfort of a cart, you can experience the nuances Hixson built into the course to challenge your strategy and game.
A layout sculpted first by nature, not men in bulldozers, Bandon Crossings offers more than just 18 holes - it's home to "18 Unique Experiences." There are holes unlike any others. The natural flow of ancient sand dunes dictate the course's routing, which is highlighted by old corrals that show evidence of the property's former life as a sheep ranch. Several holes stay true to the name "Crossings" as they play over creeks or narrow canyons, and along with variety come ample risk/reward opportunities to create an exciting round.
Ten years after opening, Bandon Crossings has added a new golf shop and the Cypress Room Event Center, expanding their ability to host larger golf tournaments, weddings and other special events in style with lovely views of the golf course and lower wetland valley.
